Job Summary:
Operating Room Pediatrics (OR PEDS) registered nurses are responsible for providing specialized pediatric surgical care in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment. This position involves working in a dedicated pediatric operating room, delivering excellent clinical care to neonatal, adolescent, and pediatric patients, and supporting patient safety initiatives. The role offers flexible shifts in a hospital setting focused on pediatric surgical procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, with a start time of either 6:45 AM or 8:45 AM; minimum commitment of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: CA registered nurse license, BSN degree, BLS certification, and PALS certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification, trauma level I or II experience, ambulatory or general operating room experience, and pediatric cardiovascular operating room skills.
• Certifications: BLS, CNOR (preferred), PALS.
• Skills: Experience with pediatric surgical procedures, blood and blood product administration, and use of Epic charting system.
• Travel Experience: Not required.
• Additional Information: This role may require float to other UCSF campuses and entails working within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive pediatric surgical care, supporting various specialized procedures and equipment. Orientation hours are included, and candidates must meet all employment and facility requirements prior to start.
