Description
Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in a healthcare facility located in the area. This position involves providing advanced critical care to adult patients, with a focus on complex assessments and management of critically ill patients, including those on mechanical circulatory support devices and ECMO. Candidates must be adaptable to float across various departments and facilities within the organization.
Job Details
- Certifications: CA RN License, BSN, AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; minimum of 4 years recent ICU experience; travel nursing for 1 year or less in the past 5 years.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour days and nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current CA RN License, BSN, AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, travel nursing experience within the last 5 years, at least 4 years of recent ICU experience, and experience caring for ECMO patients within the last year.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CVICU, CTICU, CCU, VA ECMO, VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, PA Catheters, Heart and Lung Transplant Recovery, and academic medical center experience.
- Responsibilities: Manage complex adult critical care patients with multiple support devices, including ECMO, IABP, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, and PA Catheters. Ability to independently manage ventilated patients, invasive lines, and perform advanced procedures. Float to various ICU, ED, and PACU departments as operational needs dictate, ensuring compliance with specialized device experience requirements.
- Additional Information: Must have recent experience with ECMO limited to bedside responsibility, ability to handle multi-organ support therapies, and work within a fast-paced ICU environment. The position requires prior experience with advanced cardiovascular support equipment and protocols.
