Job Summary:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse position is located in Crown Point, Indiana. This role involves providing specialized care in a level III NICU environment, with a focus on supporting patients across all gestational ages and acuity levels. The position offers a comprehensive opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to a dynamic clinical setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as an registered nurse (RN), with a minimum of three years of experience in a Level III NICU setting. Certifications required include Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Additional preferred skills include IV insertion, delivery room stabilization, CPAP, ventilator management.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IV insertion, delivery room stabilization, CPAP, and ventilator management.
• Additional Information: The unit employs equipment such as Bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, feeding pumps, breast pumps, and Alaris intravenous (IV) pumps. The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is Epic. Candidates are expected to be team players willing to assist during busy shifts and adaptable to changing patient assignments. Hospital-issued scrubs are required, with the option for the candidate to complete any necessary training modules prior to their first day.
