Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) specialty in Austin, Texas. This role involves providing surgical support for routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures in a high-volume hospital setting. The position requires a highly experienced Certified Surgical Technologist with expertise in cardiac/thoracic/vascular surgeries, capable of functioning independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 08/24/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of recent full-time experience as a CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist in a high-volume hospital setting, with demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. Verification of experience must be confirmed by references from at least two prior travel assignments, showing no need for extensive onboarding. Candidates must be able to work independently in a fast-paced surgical environment and participate in call coverage after hours and on weekends.
• Additional Information: The CVOR service line provides surgical interventions for a wide range of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures, including coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, heart transplantation, TAVR, adult ECMO, and minimally invasive thoracic surgeries. The service line consists of 4-6 operating rooms, including an endovascular suite, capable of handling four concurrent procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass.
