Job Summary:
The healthcare provider is seeking a Medical Surgical (MS) registered nurse for a 13-week contract at a facility in Austin, Texas. The position involves working primarily day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The RN will deliver patient care on a general surgical unit with approximately 28 beds, serving a diverse patient population. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with technology such as telemetry and electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring, and to collaborate with experienced staff in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Location: 12221 N Mopac Expressway, Austin, TX 78758
• Position: Contract - Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Floor (MS) 13 weeks
• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, hospital nursing experience, at least 3 years of nursing experience, experience with epilepsy care, willing to work days, handle telemetry equipment, and follow unit policies.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in epilepsy care, ability to work independently and as part of a team, good communication skills.
• Additional Information: The unit maintains a patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1, with equipment including Video EEG, Hoyer Lift, Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machine, and Telemetry. Candidates should be adaptable, able to accept feedback, and adhere to dress code policies, including navy blue scrubs with the organization's logo.
