Job Summary
RN (Registered Nurse) position in home health care located in Maine. This role involves managing a caseload of adult patients with diverse medical needs, including oncology, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, wound care, and other specialties. The position offers a flexible schedule with options for rotating weekends or permanent weekday schedules, accommodating different clinical operational needs.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift from 0800 to 1700, with at least 40 hours guaranteed per week. Rotation includes every other weekend with a day off during the week or alternative permanent schedules such as Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday, based on agency needs.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of relevant home health care experience; proficient in EPIC and OASIS documentation systems. Must have at least 2 years of experience in home health care.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IV therapy, tube feeds, vacuum-assisted closure dressings, compression wraps, port access, ostomies, chest tubes, subcutaneous catheters, laboratory draws, and other advanced procedures.
• Patient Ratios: Managing approximately 20-25 adult patients, with an expectation of 5-6 visits daily.
• Equipment: Provided with a laptop, mobile phone, nursing supplies, vital signs equipment, INR machine, and a nursing bag. All equipment must be returned upon departure.
• EMR: EPIC system utilized for documentation.
• Call Requirements: No overnight call. Callback required 2-4 times per month between 1700-2000 hours; if no visit is scheduled by 1700, the nurse is not required to stay on call.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience is preferred.
