Job Summary:
The Orthopedic Surgical Technician Operating Room Tech position is located in Ithaca, New York. This role involves working in a busy surgical environment with various specialty units including orthopedics, general, plastic, ENT, neuro, and urology, as well as robotics for gynecology and general surgeries. The position offers 10-hour shifts throughout the week, with the aim of clustering days together. The successful candidate will support surgical teams by ensuring readiness of operating rooms and assisting during procedures in a fast-paced setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour days, with shifts covering weekdays and weekends; minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician; high school diploma or equivalent; current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); 1+ years of relevant experience; location in or willing to work in Ithaca, NY.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in orthopedic, plastic, ENT, neuro, or urology surgeries; familiarity with robotic surgical procedures.
• Additional Information: Shifts are typically during daytime hours; candidates should be prepared to support both weekday and weekend call requirements. This role involves assisting surgical teams in a variety of operative specialties across multiple operating rooms.
