Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Plattsburgh, New York. This assignment offers a 12-hour night shift schedule and is expected to last between 16 to 20 weeks. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic emergency setting, with requirements including active licensure, current certifications, and recent Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.

Job Details:

Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Active New York licensure or proof of application with applied date; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications; recent Epic EMR experience within past 2 years; a minimum of 1 year of ER or relevant specialty experience; prior travel experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience is preferred
Additional Information:
- Assignment duration: 16-20 weeks
- No block schedules; schedule may be adjusted to meet patient care needs
- Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays; upcoming orientation date to be confirmed
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- Complete employment history (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) is required for submission
- This facility requires all work history details to be filled out
- Reliable transportation is strongly recommended, personal or rental vehicle preferred with all season or snow tires from November to April
- No public transportation access in the area
