Job Summary:
Critical Care Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular at an acute care facility in Evansville, Indiana. This role involves managing post-surgical and post-procedure patients in a specialized 8-bed unit, with a focus on cardiothoracic and vascular surgery recovery, including open heart procedures and complex PCI interventions.

Job Details:

• Location: Evansville, Indiana
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Critical Care Nursing, BLS (Basic Life Support), and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); valid nursing license; 1+ year of clinical experience in a Cardiac Critical Care or Intensive Care Unit setting; must be eligible to work in the United States
• Clinical Responsibilities: Managing patients post-surgical management for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, Thoracotomies, TAVRs, and PCI interventions; performing procedures including central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements; utilizing Edwards and GE monitoring systems, SWAN Ganz catheters, among others
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open heart recovery and post-cardiac procedures is highly desirable
• Additional Information: The unit provides continuous patient monitoring and requires proficiency in managing complex cardiac patients, including those with advanced hemodynamic support
