Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position located in Youngstown, Ohio. This role involves providing specialized patient care in a unit designed for patients who require a higher level of monitoring and intervention than a typical medical-surgical unit. The position emphasizes patient and staff safety, clinical assessments, patient education, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Job Details:

• Shift Time: Nights
• Shift Hours: 12 hours
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 48 hours
• Start Date: 08/24/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only); minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience highly desired.
• Additional Information: Performs comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, documents patient information accurately and timely, participates in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning, and maintains safety standards aligned with hospital policies. The role requires supervisory duties after orientation, active pursuit of professional growth, and effective resource management to promote quality patient outcomes.
