Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nursing position in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care for a diverse patient population, including stroke patients and critically ill children. The assignment supports collaborative team efforts in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and acuity management.

Job Details:

• Location: Arlington Heights, Illinois
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/23/2026
• Required Qualifications: Illinois Licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); 3-5 years relevant experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Electronic Critical Response Nurse (ECRN) certification, Region 9 familiarity, experience with electronic health record updates (Epic)
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Weekend Requirements: As needed
• Notes: Census averages 160-180 patients daily, including many stroke and critically ill pediatric patients. The unit has 44 rooms, with each team managing 10 beds/pods. Staffing ratios support a cohesive team environment, with 1:4 or 1:6 nursing-to-patient ratios. All staff are supported geographically to ensure team cohesion.
