Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart Nurse (CVOR) Charlotte, North Carolina. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care for cardiac surgery patients, performing a variety of major cardiothoracic, vascular, and thoracic procedures within the Cardiovascular Operating Room. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment supporting a wide range of complex surgeries.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, at least 2 years of operating room experience with a focus on specialty procedures, and current EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Recent experience with CABG, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic cases.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Support includes a five 8-hour shift orientation (main OR for 1 week and CVOR for 2 weeks).
  • Support staff includes OR assistants, receptionists/charge nurses, anesthesia/CRNA on a 24/7 basis.
  • Technologies utilized include EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing systems, and Phillips monitors.
  • The facility is located at 10628 Park Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28210, with free parking and scrub color provided.
  • The radius rule applies: travelers permanent address must be 50 miles outside of their home unit.
