Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) professional position located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized surgical assistance in cardiovascular procedures within a busy surgical environment. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting complex cardiac surgeries and be comfortable working in a fast-paced operating room setting.

Job Details:

Schedule: 8-hour shifts; minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification; completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program; at least 2 years of OR experience, including recent experience with cardiovascular surgeries (RN, CST, CVOR RN, or CVOR CST)
Specialty: Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH)
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of OR experience with specialization in cardiovascular procedures
Start Date: 08/31/2026
Location: 10628 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210
Support within the Department: OR assistant support during weekdays for room turnovers, stocking, patient positioning, and operating surgical tables
Support Roles available: Charge nurse, anesthesia/CRNA, other support staff
Technology/Equipment: EPIC Electronic Medical Record, Alaris IV Pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors
Orientation: 1 week in the main operating room, 2-week orientation in the CVOR, scheduled for five 8-hour shifts; if unable to accommodate, management approval required
Additional Notes: Scrub color is provided; free parking available; support for floating within the department could be limited as none specified
