Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (CVOR) Specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position involves supporting a busy surgical department specializing in Cardiothoracic procedures within a hospital setting. The role requires collaboration with surgical teams to ensure smooth operations during complex cardiovascular surgeries, including CABG, TAVR, and thoracic cases.

Shift Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
Start Date: 08/31/2026
Experience Requirements: No minimum experience specified, but a minimum of 2 years of OR experience in the specialty (RN, CST, CVOR RN, CVOR CST) is preferred
Certifications and Licenses: BLS; must have completed an accredited Surgical Technician (education) program prior to start; national certification is preferred for surgical technologists; RN must have BLS
Support staff: OR assistant support during weekdays, support with room turnovers, stocking, patient positioning, and operating surgical tables
Technology and Equipment: EPIC electronic medical record, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors
Orientation: Main OR orientation for 1 week, CVOR orientation for 2 weeks; orientation includes five 8-hour shifts; flexibility is required or approval must be obtained for schedule adjustments
Additional notes: Scrub color provided; free parking available
