Job Summary:

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Atlanta, Georgia. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a step-down unit for patients with a variety of complex conditions, including sepsis, heart failure, hyperensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. The role offers a 48-hour weekly schedule with shifts of 12 hours, beginning on 09/08/2026.

Job Details:

• Position Description: RN in the Progressive Care Unit, with responsibilities in a medical step-down setting managing 16-20 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 1 to 4.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse license, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, chronic kidney disease, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.
• Additional Information: The RN will provide high-quality nursing care, monitor patient progress, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
