Job Summary:

The Emergency Room specialist position is based in a busy Level 3 Trauma Center servicing both adult and pediatric patients. The role involves providing safe and efficient age-specific nursing care to patients and their families, utilizing the nursing process to promote optimal health outcomes. This position requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and collaboration to ensure high-quality patient care within a dynamic environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Willoughby, Ohio
• Schedule: Days shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Ohio Registered Nurse license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, knowledge of nursing process and practice, experience in an emergency or acute care setting, experience is not specified but candidates with 0 years are welcome.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS/PALS (adult and pediatric advanced life support) may be required based on clinic requirements.
• Responsibilities include delivering age-specific nursing care, utilizing technical equipment such as stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, and electronic monitoring devices, and ensuring safety standards are met.
• This role involves encounter with Protected Health Information (PHI) as part of daily responsibilities.
• The unit features 22 beds with a Supertrack area for both adult and pediatric patients, serving ages 0-100+ years, and functions as a Level 3 Trauma Center with stroke and chest pain certification.
