Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in San Francisco, CA. This position involves assessing, coordinating, and delivering surgical nursing care in an operating room setting. The role requires providing holistic, individualized patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. The OR Nurse collaborates with the surgical team to maintain a sterile environment and supports patient transitions through various phases of care.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Night shifts with a minimum of 40 hours per week, including 10-hour shifts. Shifts may be scheduled as 4/10 (2100-0730) or 3/12 (1900-0730), with no on-call required and a weekend rotation.
  • Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, at least 2 years of recent Operating Room experience, with proficiency in Epic charting system. Must have valid CA licensure and certifications with current expiration dates.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charge roles, trauma Level I or II, and community hospital settings.
  • Certifications: At minimum, BLS (American Heart Association).
  • Experience: No minimum years of experience explicitly required beyond clinical competency in OR nursing.
  • Additional Information: The position involves working in a high-volume surgical unit with a daily census of approximately 75 patients and 37 beds. Support services include physical therapy, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Compliance with onboarding and verification processes is required, and all documents must be submitted 10 days prior to the start date.
