Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Specialist Modesto, California. This position involves providing post-anesthesia recovery care for a diverse patient population. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal recovery outcomes in a high-volume PACU setting.

Job Details

Schedule: 12-hour shift hours from 07:00 AM to 07:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license uploaded via Nursys within the last 2 weeks.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, two years of related PACU experience, and familiarity with the Epic charting system.
Experience: No minimum years of experience required beyond the role-specific qualifications.
Patient Ratio Experience: At least 2 patients per nurse.
Charting System Experience: Required with Epic.
Facility & Patient Care Details: Managing a daily census of approximately 40 patients across 16 beds in a high-volume PACU. Care includes a wide range of surgical recovery patients, with interdisciplinary support from IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and other departments.
Additional Information: Orientation includes 72 hours of onboarding. Candidates must complete all compliance documentation at least 10 days prior to the start date. Onboarding modules are non-billable and recorded through e-learning. Must provide two references obtained within the last year, with no separation time required from previous roles.
