Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Kankakee, Illinois. This traveler position involves providing safe, comprehensive patient care within the Emergency Department environment. The RN will utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation while maintaining standards of professional nursing care. The role requires effective communication with physicians about patient clinical changes, diagnostic results, and symptomatology, as well as adherence to EMTALA regulations and confidentiality protocols.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current and valid state RN license; current BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC certificates; Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation certification; minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting; preferred experience in emergency room nursing; preferred certification as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certification as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, guiding patient and family education, and overseeing activities of other nursing personnel within the scope of practice. Capable of responding swiftly to changing patient conditions and maintaining privacy and confidentiality standards.
