Description

Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit nurse position is located in Renton, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care for patients in active labor post-partum, and gestational hypertension among others, within an acute care environment. The position requires adherence to clinical guidelines and supporting team operations during assigned shifts.

Job Details:

  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licenses to submit, Certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Labor and Delivery.
  • Experience or 'Must have' skills: Circulating in the operating room; proficiency with titratable and set-rate drips including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Insulin; working with RNs required to titrate drips.
  • Additional Information: A dedicated team including 2 surgical technologists and 2 Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) on days and 1 LPN on nights supports the unit. In-house neonatal and obstetric specialists are available 24/7, as well as 24-hour anesthesia services. The Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) system used is Obix. The unit is designated as Trauma Level 3 and follows standards aligning with the American Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AWHONN) guidelines for patient ratios and care. Charting is performed in EPIC. The unit operates in an acute care setting with a focus on maternal and neonatal health.
