Job Summary:
A Sterile Processing Tech position is available in Naperville, Illinois. The role involves managing daily sterile processing department operations, with a focus on weekend coverage. The selected candidate will supervise staff, ensure workflow efficiency, and maintain compliance with industry standards. This opportunity is ideal for experienced professionals seeking a leadership role in a healthcare facility.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Weekends onlyFriday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 AM 7:30 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 3+ years of sterile processing department (SPD) experience with at least 2+ years of documented manager or supervisor experience; completion of one travel contract; ability to supervise daily SPD operations including weekend coverage, emergency instrumentation, staffing support, and workflow continuity; experienced in training, coaching, mentoring, and evaluating staff; proficiency in maintaining compliance with standards from organizations such as the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and The Joint Commission infection prevention guidelines; able to discuss relevant standards during interview; valid sterile processing technician license or certification, either CRCST or CBSPDT via HSPAP; located in Illinois or willing to relocate accordingly.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree; 5+ years of SPD experience; 1+ year of supervisory experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: This position involves supervising and supporting the sterile processing team to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards. The role requires a proactive leader focused on workflow efficiency and staff development.
