Description

Job Summary:
Endoscopy Lab Specialist in Denver, Colorado. This position involves providing intraprocedural care to patients in a unit focused on gastrointestinal procedures such as colonoscopies, EUS, ERCP, bronchoscopies, and iontophoresis. The role requires partnership with the clinical team to ensure patient safety and quality care during endoscopic procedures within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts with 10 hours per shift, totaling at least 40 hours per week. The schedule includes four 10-hour shifts with a combination of day shifts, one night shift call per week, and one weekend call every five weeks.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); minimum of 2 years of experience in endoscopy or gastrointestinal procedures; valid license to submit.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in an endoscopy lab setting performing procedures such as colonoscopies, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and bronchoscopies.
  • Additional Information: The position involves intraprocedural patient care, charting, and cleaning procedures with electro-surgical tools. The clinical team works in an acute care setting with hospital-provided scrubs and requires a response time of 30 minutes for call duties. Floating to other units may be required.
  • Orientation: Unit-specific orientation will be provided in the endoscopy lab. Clinicians are expected to be in the state for the week of orientation even if some learning modules are remote.
  • Cancellation Policy: The organization can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts if the assignment is shorter than 13 weeks.
