Description

Job Summary:
The Endoscopy Laboratory professional will operate within an acute care setting, providing specialized support for endoscopic procedures including Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Enteroscopy, Endolumenal Surgery, and Advanced Disinfection. The role involves setting up and troubleshooting advanced endoscopic equipment, assisting with complex procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety and disinfection standards. This position starts on 08/31/2026 and involves a schedule of 10-hour days with call responsibilities.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 10-hour days plus call.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS and BLS certifications; minimum of 2 years of experience in endoscopy or related field; located within the region.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP and EUS; familiarity with high-level disinfection standards.
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The role involves managing specialized imaging catheters, assisting with tissue biopsies, setting up advanced electrocautery devices, handling balloon catheters for small bowel visualization, and assisting with endoscopic suturing and stent deployment. Technicians are responsible for the high-level disinfection and reprocessing of complex scopes in accordance with SGNA and manufacturer standards. The RN's will undergo a Pass/Fail exam on skills learned during orientation, with a passing score of 90%. The hospital policy prohibits artificial nails in patient care areas. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for shorter durations. The charting system used is EPIC. No license to submit is required.
