Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician in Naperville, Illinois. This position involves monitoring sterile processing workflows, quality assurance, and daily operational tasks within a healthcare facility. The role requires ensuring compliance with industry standards and supporting process improvements to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour day shift, 7:00 am 3:30 pm, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 3 or more years of experience as a sterile processing technician, at least 2 years in quality assurance, staff education, or supervisory responsibilities; certification as CRCST or CBSPDT; expertise in sterile processing, AAMI standards, Joint Commission standards, Infection Prevention, and Epic systems
• Responsibilities: Monitor workflow and quality within sterile processing, perform daily process and tray audits, document audit results, oversee staff competency and provide training, assist with annual competency assessments, maintain quality and event reporting, demonstrate proficiency with instrument tracking systems, monitor equipment maintenance, follow policies and IFUs, promote compliance, support process improvements, communicate effectively with management and leadership, submit daily reports, attend meetings, and support quality improvement initiatives
• Licensure/ Certification Requirements: Sterile processing technician certification (CRCST or CBSPDT), expert knowledge of AAMI standards, Joint Commission, Infection Prevention, and Epic experience

• Orientation: 6 hours non-billable, 3 hours non-billable
• Credentials Due: Thursday before start date
• Interview Process: Phone screen followed by virtual group interview via Teams
