Description
Job Summary:
This registered nurse position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Baltimore, Maryland, involves providing direct nursing care to critically ill adult patients within a high-acuity 20-bed unit. The role includes monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The shift is scheduled for day hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (Compact) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, CRRT experience, and a minimum of 0 years of nursing experience.
- Additional Information: The position involves monitoring critically ill adult patients using advanced medical equipment, administering medications and treatments, and responding to emergencies promptly. The nurse will document patient status accurately, collaborate with healthcare professionals, provide emotional support to patients and families, and follow infection control protocols. The role also includes participating in continuing education and training to maintain clinical skills.
