Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse position is located at a healthcare organization in Corpus Christi, Texas. The role involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients within a Level II NICU and newborn nursery setting. The position requires working night shifts with a focus on ventilator management and neonatal procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: CPR certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), ventilator experience, experience with infants born at 23 to 40+ weeks gestation, located in Corpus Christi, Texas, with 0 years minimum experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with ventilator/oscillator skills and CPN charting experience will be considered first
- Responsibilities: Perform intubations, assist with eye exams, insert feeding tubes, establish IV access, and operate vents, oscillators, Vapotherm, and other neonatal medical equipment
- Personality Fit: Excellent team player, cooperative, and personable
- Additional Information: This position entails working in a Level II NICU and newborn nursery with a 32-bed capacity and a staff of approximately 63 members. The unit maintains a patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 and adheres to specific dress code requirements (royal blue scrubs).
