Description
Job Summary:
Preoperative Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Los Angeles, California. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for preoperative patients, supervising and directing various levels of nursing staff, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective patient preparation prior to surgical procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor; Facility-specific BLS certification; Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
- Preferred Qualifications: Acute care facility experience
- Additional Information: The position requires assessing patient health data, developing care plans, implementing interventions, evaluating outcomes, and collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare providers. The RN will participate in discharge planning and delegate tasks appropriately to healthcare team members. All employees must receive required vaccinations, with exemptions available for medical or religious reasons. The organization participates in E-Verify. Bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.
