Description
Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in the outpatient procedure setting. Located in a vibrant community, this role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients following anesthesia procedures. The position includes supervising and directing nursing staff, as well as collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and optimal recovery outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; EPIC experience; minimum of 5 years of experience in a PACU, perioperative, or outpatient procedure unit
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an acute care facility; additional certifications relevant to outpatient anesthesia care (if applicable)
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include collecting patient assessment data, developing and implementing care plans, evaluating patient progress, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective discharge planning. The RN will also provide education to patients and families, delegating tasks appropriately and ensuring adherence to established standards of care. The assignment duration is from 08/31/2026 to 11/29/2026.
