Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) and Open Heart (OH) specialist position located in Bradenton, Florida. This role involves working in a busy cardiovascular operating room with a focus on cardiac procedures including Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), Valve surgeries, and Ablations. The position requires a flexible and communicative healthcare professional to support a team of skilled staff in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certified or licensed healthcare professional with at least 0 years of experience, including valid certifications relevant to operating room and cardiovascular procedures. Previous experience with CABG on and off pump, valves, and ablations is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience setting up level 1 rapid infuser and cell saver equipment.
- Unit Information: The unit consists of 2 beds and a staff of 9, including day shift 2 physician assistants, 2 registered nurses, 2 certified surgical technologists, and PRN staff as needed.
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 in the OR.
- Equipment: Standard cardiovascular operating room equipment, meditech electronic medical record system.
- Typical Procedures: CABG, video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS), interventional procedures (ION), valve repairs, ablations, and TAVR backup.
- Personality Fit: The ideal candidate is adaptable and has strong communication skills.
- Additional Information: The unit features recent equipment upgrades, experienced staff, and flexible scheduling options. Traveler staff are scheduled in accordance with facility policy, working every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
