Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Somerset, Kentucky. This role involves providing specialized care in a Level 2 Special Care Nursery for neonates, including full-term, early-term, and pre-term infants. The nurse will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care within a state-of-the-art facility that offers advanced cardiac and neurosurgical services.

Job Details

• Location: Somerset, KY 42503
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), STABLE, Basic Life Support (BLS); 2 years of experience in a Level 2 neonatal nursery or higher; minimum of 0 years of experience required; Kentucky licensing or work authorization as applicable
• Preferred Qualifications: NICU experience and attendance at all deliveries; ability to initiate and run NRP resuscitation
• Unit Information:
  • Department: Special Care Nursery Level 2
  • Number of Beds: 8-bed nursery
  • Patient Ratios: 1:2-1:3
  • Equipment: Electronic Health Record systems (Meditech, GE Centricity)
  • Patient Population: Neonates including full-term, early-term, pre-term infants
• Additional Notes:
  • No call requirements
  • Attire: Hospital-issued Royal Blue scrubs; no hoodies or sweatshirts
  • This assignment provides coverage for leave, with 2 weekend shifts per month
