Job Summary
Medical Surgical Float Position located at the healthcare providers facility, this role involves floating across various units including Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical, Progressive Care Unit, Interventional Radiology Unit, Behavioral Health Unit, and Intensive Care Unit. The registered nurse coordinates and implements patient care tailored to the specific age groups of patients on the assigned units, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety in accordance with established standards of care.

Job Details

• Position: Medical Surgical Float Position
• Specialty: Medical Surgical Float
• Schedule: 7AM7PM, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license, TNCC Certification, CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Certification, NIH Certification, BLS Certification from AHA, ACLS Certification from AHA, PALS Certification from AHA, 3 years of experience, and at least 1 year of total relevant experience.
• Responsibilities: Obtain and record initial assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, perform point of care testing procedures, collaborate with the healthcare team, and ensure patient and family education.
• Additional Information: Staff must demonstrate professional communication skills, delegate appropriately, promote a positive work environment, participate in unit growth and development, and adhere to all policies and safety procedures.
