Description
Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position is located in Baltimore City. The role involves providing direct nursing care to critically ill patients within a high-acuity ICU environment. Responsibilities include monitoring and assessing patients using advanced medical equipment, administering medications and treatments, performing invasive procedures, managing life-support systems, recognizing emergency situations, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans. The position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for professional growth.
Job Details:
- Location: Baltimore, Maryland
- Schedule: Rotating shifts; 3x 12-hour shifts per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse (compact) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and CRRT experience. No minimum years of experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with invasive procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, and arterial blood draws.
- Responsibilities: Provide critical nursing care, monitor vital parameters with advanced equipment, administer medications and treatments, perform invasive procedures, manage ventilator and life-support equipment, respond to emergencies, document patient status accurately, and participate in continuing education.
- Additional Information: Willing to work on a rotating basis including every other weekend and possibly every third weekend, with rotating holidays. Precepting may be required.
