Job Summary:
The Surgical Technologist is a key member of the perioperative team at an ophthalmology and ENT specialty practice located in Boston, Massachusetts. This position involves supporting surgical procedures such as ophthalmologic, otolaryngologic (ear, nose, and throat), head and neck, and plastics/reconstructive surgeries. The role requires maintaining sterile technique, managing surgical instruments, and assisting the surgical team throughout the perioperative continuum to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting 08/24/2026
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program; certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required or obtained within organizationally defined timeframe; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least 1 year of surgical technologist experience; ophthalmology experience is a must, ENT experience is a strong bonus; location required in Boston, Massachusetts.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in ophthalmology, ENT, head and neck surgery, plastics, or other surgical subspecialties.
• Additional Information: The Surgical Technologist will prepare and maintain operating rooms, perform surgical scrubbing duties, organize instruments and supplies, assist with patient positioning, and handle surgical specimens. Proficiency with microsurgical instrumentation and specialized ophthalmic and ENT equipment, such as surgical microscopes, endoscopic equipment, laser systems, and robotic platforms, is expected. The role also involves verifying equipment functionality, maintaining sterile fields, supporting infection prevention protocols, and participating in quality and safety initiatives. Collaboration with the interdisciplinary perioperative team, mentorship, and ongoing professional development are integral components of the position.
