Description
Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a healthcare organization within Minnesota. The role involves providing family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit setting. The RN will be required to float between multiple hospital campuses as needed, delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, Minnesota RN license or Minnesota Temporary Permit-RN, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, and 18 months Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nursing experience including the ability to care for pre-operative and immediate post-operative PICU surgical patients, trauma patients, or 18 months pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) nursing experience and competence to care for pre-operative, immediate post-operative cardiac surgical patients, and pre- and post-cardiac procedural patients.

- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The position involves coordinating and providing family-centered nursing care to pediatric patients across multiple hospital campuses, utilizing the nursing process. The RN will be accountable for professional practice, including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members. The start date is as soon as possible, with upcoming orientations scheduled for 08/10 and potentially 08/24 (pending approval).
