Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse in York, Pennsylvaniathis position involves providing specialized nursing care within a small 10-bed labor, delivery, and postpartum unit with an attached Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating with the care team, and supporting patients and their families through various stages of childbirth and postpartum recovery.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts of 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts are from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with every third weekend required.
  • Required Qualifications: RN license in the state of Pennsylvania or a compact state license; BSN preferred; two years of nursing experience; Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a labor and delivery nurse; proficiency in electronic fetal monitoring; familiarity with maternal and neonatal processes.
  • Additional Information: The unit provides surgical scrubs and on-site parking. Nurses in this role participate in patient education, act as a team partner, and engage in quality improvement efforts.
