Description

Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse in Glendale, California. This assignment involves providing postoperative recovery care within the PACU setting, focusing on patients undergoing urology, orthopedics, and plastics surgeries. The role requires a minimum of 36 hours per week, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 5:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. The assignment is scheduled to begin on September 1, 2026, and will last up to 13 weeks, with floating responsibilities possibly required across different cost centers.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 5:30am 6:00pm, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, 1+ years of travel experience, 4+ years of specialty experience in PACU or similar, proficiency in IV skills, experience with urology, orthopedics, and plastics surgeries, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications, and availability to work during holiday coverage for Christmas and New Year's days or eves.
  • Preferred Qualifications: PACU experience is preferred but not required.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information:
    • Travel pairs are not suitable; travelers must work different schedules/days.
    • Priority is given to returning travelers with prior successful assignments.
    • No former employees of the facility, including those associated with Keck Medicine or Norris, are eligible for hire as travelers.
    • References are required.
    • COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are not mandatory but strongly recommended; exemptions are required if not vaccinated.
