Description
Job Summary:
Telemetry Technician in New York, NY. This role involves providing advanced electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring, assessing patient status through ECG strip analysis and arrhythmia interpretation, and responding to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes. The technician will perform continuous EKG monitoring, troubleshoot monitoring issues, and respond appropriately to all monitor alarms.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 7:00 A.M. to 7:30 P.M.
- Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the Red Cross; Dysrhythmia Course; 2 years of minimum experience as a telemetry technician.
- Certifications & Licensure: BLS certification (valid for at least one year).
- Skills & Experience: Cardiac monitoring, telemetry technician.
- Schedule: The shift is 11.5 hours per day, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The role requires effective communication with charge nurses, co-workers, and physicians, proper documentation, and safe operation of monitoring and medical equipment.
