Description

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position available in Burlington, Massachusetts. The role involves providing specialized patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment, with a focus on titrating pressors, managing patient needs during floating to various units such as emergency department holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units. The position requires compliance with specific certifications and provides opportunities for clinical skill development.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: BLS - American Heart Association certification required; ACLS - American Heart Association certification preferred; NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale experience preferred; valid license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Massachusetts; ability to titrate pressors; experience with Epic electronic health record system; at least 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Level 1 trauma experience; prior travel nurse experience or willingness to meet minimum trauma experience if no prior travel.
  • Float: No float rotation required.
  • Additional Information: BILH coverage sheet required at time of submission. Must be able to pass day one pass/fail testing and complete Relias practice tests. Weekend work required every other weekend, including Saturdays and Sundays for days or Fridays through Sundays for nights. Completes weekly start dates on Mondays. Floating may occur in 4-hour blocks while on shift, which, although rare, could happen.
