Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Davenport, Iowa. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, supervising licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and orientees. This assignment offers a 12-hour shift schedule and is designed to support patient safety and quality outcomes within a dynamic clinical environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, a minimum of two (2) years bedside critical care clinical experience, current licensure as an RN, ability to provide care in accordance with population parity and established standards
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, documents all assessments and interventions accurately, and participates in patient rehabilitation programs. Initiates discharge planning from the day of admission and provides patient and family education. Communicates changes in patient status effectively, delegates appropriately, and maintains a safe environment. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities following orientation and actively pursues professional development. Contributes to a positive work environment through team building and effective communication.
