Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Nurse Manager position in Hermiston, Oregon. This leadership role oversees all aspects of patient care for interventional radiology and cardiology procedures, supervising healthcare professionals including registered nurses, radiologic technologists, and cardiovascular technologists. The role involves ensuring departmental compliance with regulatory standards, managing staffing and operational activities, and fostering a collaborative environment to optimize patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, hold a current RN license in the State of Oregon, and possess current BLS and ACLS certifications. Certifications specific to the clinical specialty such as RCIS, NIH Stroke Scale, and IV certification are preferred. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cardiovascular Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) circulating and monitoring, or management/supervisory experience in an interventional setting.
- Demonstrated management or supervisory experience in interventional radiology or cath lab environments.
- Ability to perform physical activities including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and frequent repositioning or transferring of patients.
- Effective communication skills, clinical competency in managing complex procedures, and knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Preferred Qualifications: Management or supervisory experience in interventional radiology or cath lab, IR/IC CDM maintenance, and scrubbing interventional cases.
- Additional Information: The role involves coordinating staffing and patient care activities, promoting evidence-based practices, evaluating staff performance, managing supplies, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Duties include acting as a patient advocate, administering medications, and supporting department operations. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and participation in required educational programs.
