Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Falls Church, VA. This role involves providing high-quality emergency nursing care within a busy Level I trauma center. The nurse will manage a variety of acute cases, including stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients, and will be responsible for approximately 350 patient encounters daily. The position requires strong emergency department experience and certification in basic life support, advanced cardiovascular life support, and trauma nursing courses.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours per day, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Certifications and Experience: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification required; at least 2 years of ER experience; previous travel experience highly preferred.
• Additional Qualifications: EPIC electronic health record experience, strong ED background at Level I or II trauma centers, ability to float to offsite ERs in Fairfax City and Reston/Herndon area.
• Work Expectations: Willingness to cover 1-2 on-call shifts per schedule; ability to work every other weekend; no floating rotation expected; will not handle psychiatric patients after medical clearance; secure environment with security and sitter support for suicidal patients.
• Travel Requirements: May be required to float to offsite emergency departments in Fairfax and Reston/Herndon.
