Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing high-quality emergency nursing care in a Level I trauma center. The role requires strong ED experience and the ability to handle a busy environment with approximately 350 patients daily, including stroke, STEMI, and trauma cases.

Job Details

• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).
• Education and experience: 2 years of ER experience.
• Location requirements: Must be comfortable floating to offsite emergency departments in Fairfax City and Reston/Herndon areas.
• Schedule: Evening shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional duties: Be available to take 1-2 on-call shifts during the schedule period.
• Responsibilities include managing patient flow in a fast-paced environment, working on a non-acute side of the ED, and supporting stroke, STEMI, and trauma workflows.
• Must be willing to work 1 major and 1 minor holiday during the assignment.
• Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system access is required.
• Previous travel experience and Epic EMR experience are highly preferred.
