Job Summary

Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN) Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania. This travel position involves providing specialized nursing care within the Labor and Delivery Department. The role includes supporting antepartum, intrapartum, surgical, and postpartum patients, ensuring safe and effective care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The assignment is scheduled to start on 09/08/2026 and will last for 13 weeks, with night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including every other weekend and holidays coverage.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Basic Arrhythmia Course. No minimum years of experience required beyond recent labor and delivery experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 1-2+ years recent Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience preferred.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The Labor and Delivery RN will provide direct care for antepartum, intrapartum, surgical, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) recovery patients. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, fetal monitoring, and neonatal care. Scrubs are to be changed into hospital-provided attire at the start of each shift. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner and GE Centricity.
