Description
Job Summary:
Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Boston, MA. This position involves providing specialized critical care for a highly acute and complex surgical patient population in a fast-paced environment. RNs will utilize their skills in managing mechanically ventilated patients, vasoactive and sedative medications, central and arterial lines, and complex wound and drain care. The role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and certification.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure in the state of Massachusetts; minimum 2 years of ICU experience caring for critically ill patients requiring mechanical ventilation, vasoactive and sedative medication management, central and arterial line care, complex wound and drain management, and proficiency in using electronic documentation systems.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ability to be skilled in caring for critically ill patients, experience with EPIC or similar documentation systems, and interest in pursuing certifications such as TNCC or CCRN.
- Additional Information: The SICU is a twenty-bed adult general surgical ICU with a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care. The environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and dedicated to education and professional development.
