Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position in Saginaw, Michigan. This role involves providing direct patient care to diverse patient populations, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. The RN will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supervising support staff, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and hospital policies.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Michigan nursing license; current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; NIHSS certification; 2+ years of recent neuro progressive care unit experience; recent travel work history highly preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neuro step-down or intensive care, strong clinical assessment skills, and prior travel nursing experience.
- Additional Information: The RN will assess patient needs regularly and provide skilled nursing interventions as prescribed by the physician's plan of care. Responsibilities include medication administration, treatments, patient education, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms. The role requires working every other weekend and holidays, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
