Job Summary:
A Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) is sought to support surgical procedures in a hospital surgical unit located in Rochester, New Hampshire. This role involves working on a busy orthopedic and general surgery unit with minimal supervision during day shifts. The technician will assist with sterile techniques, surgical setup, and intraoperative procedures to ensure smooth patient care and surgical success.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 09/01/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in basic life support (BLS) and surgical technologist training (CST). Education and experience must include certification as a Certified Operating Room Technician or equivalent. Candidates should have at least 0 years of experience, with preference given to those familiar with orthopedic surgery, ENT, general surgery, urology/gynecology, sterile techniques, specimen handling, surgical site preparation, medication handling on sterile fields, troubleshooting sterile contamination, and working independently with minimal orientation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with intraoperative neuromonitoring and vendor coordination is considered a plus.
• Additional Information: The surgical unit performs a variety of procedures including orthopedic, gynecologic, ENT, general, and ophthalmic surgeries such as total joints, hysteroscopy, cystoscopy, tonsillectomy, thyroidectomy, FESS, and more. The team operates in a fast-paced environment requiring sterilization expertise and equipment handling. Uniforms consist of hospital-laundered scrubs and hair covers. Late coverage or on-call duties are bi-weekly, and policies/guidelines are available for review.
