Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) located in Gardner, Massachusetts. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in an Emergency Department setting, including assessments, interventions, medication administration, and patient education. The position emphasizes safety, documentation accuracy, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license, valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 60 days of hire. Minimum of 0 years of experience, with 3-5 years of Emergency Department experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification are preferred.
- Additional Information:
- Provides assessments, plans, and evaluates nursing interventions per established standards of care and protocols.
- Performs thorough documentation and ensures continuity of care through effective communication with team members.
- Administers medications and intravenous therapies safely, monitors cardiac rhythms, and manages airway issues including intubation.
- Responds to patient safety risks, manages violent or at-risk patients, and reports incidents as required.
- Maintains knowledge of disaster procedures and ensures compliance with safety and safety-related policies.
- Demonstrates proficiency with laboratory and diagnostic results, and participates in quality and safety initiatives.
