Job Summary:
This Medical Surgical Chemotherapy Certified Oncology (MS ONS) position is located in a healthcare facility in Richmond, Virginia. The assignment involves working on an Oncology Care Unit with a focus on providing specialized patient care. The role requires a dedicated healthcare professional to support a newly renovated unit with modern equipment and a collaborative team environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/07/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Oncology Nursing (MS ONS), active license at submission, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. Ability to access portacath or willingness to learn required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with port access, familiarity with Meditech documentation system, and ability to work in a newly renovated, high-tech unit.
• Additional Information: The unit has 25 beds with patient ratios of 1:4-1:5, staffed with patient care technicians on most shifts. Documentation is managed through Meditech. Scheduling requires working every third weekend and includes one day and one night shift granted PTO at a time. The environment features new call bell systems, vital sign machines, scales, and IV pumps, making it an optimal setting for a dedicated oncology nurse.
