Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse (OR) Lamar, Colorado. This position involves providing comprehensive perioperative nursing care within a surgical environment that includes surgical suites, post-anesthesia care unit, and pre-operative areas. The nurse will be responsible for direct patient care, assisting in various surgical procedures, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: The shift is 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 09/07/2026. Shift hours align with the general work hours of 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with occasional late days to complete surgical case loads.
• Required Qualifications: RN graduate with current Colorado licensure; 3 years pre-operative, operating room, or post-anesthesia care unit experience preferred; ACLS certification required; CNOR certification and scrub experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification and scrub experience are highly preferred.
• Responsibilites: Conduct assessments, document care, provide emotional support, coordinate transfers, recover patients, circulate cases, assist with processing instruments and equipment, prepare patients for surgery, and educate patients. Adhere to infection control principles and national standards set by organizations such as IAHCSMM, AORN, ASGE, and ASPAN. Report directly to the Surgical Services Manager or designee.
• Additional Information: The position requires long periods of standing and walking, heavy lifting, and exposure to blood and body fluids. The candidate must be able to perform effectively in highly stressful situations and possess good communication skills.
