Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves providing perioperative care in a Level 1 trauma center, supporting neuro, ortho, and trauma cases. The position requires clinical expertise, flexibility in shift scheduling, and the ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and call. The assignment is scheduled to start on 08/24/2026.
Job Details:
- Location: Boston, MA
- Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; willingness to submit license; experience in operating room settings, neuro, ortho, and trauma cases; active license to practice in the state of Massachusetts
- Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience; trauma, ortho, neuro, cardiac, ex lap experience; experience working in a Level 1 trauma center
- Schedule: Self-scheduling within reason; 3-4 weeknight/call requirements; 1 weekend shift per 4-week period, with rotation; call response time of 45 minutes; weekends and evenings available
- Additional Information:
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity trauma environment
- No float rotation required
- EMR system is EPIC
- Shift hours may extend beyond 5:30 PM for call coverage after shifts ending later in the day
- COVID-19 vaccination and compliance may be required by the organization
