Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse in Anchorage, Alaska. This position requires a highly skilled healthcare professional to provide dedicated patient care within a reputable healthcare organization. The role offers an opportunity to work in a Magnet-designated facility with a focus on adult and geriatric patient populations, including oncology care and chemo administration. The assignment starts promptly on September 14, 2026, and has an expected duration of 13 weeks.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current state licensure with pending license accepted (must have license in hand for auto-offer), ability to complete AK RN license application within 48 hours of signing.
- Certifications: BLS required.
- Skills: Medical Surgical nursing, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care and management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, PPE and isolation precautions.
- Experience: 0 years minimum experience required, 1-year experience preferred.
- Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, nights preferred.
- Patient Ratios: 5 patients per shift for days, nights, and weekends.
- Float Requirements: Yes, float within scope to meet facility needs.
- Holidays: Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
- Unit Information: Oncology experience preferred but not mandatory; prefer experience with chemotherapy administration.
- Additional Requirements: References covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years; able to work in the specified hospital and affiliate locations; pass rapid mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policies as applicable.
